If you should find yourself in the market for new computer parts, price may come to mind as one of the most important factors in which parts you should select. Performance and appearance are obviously of equal importance. The trick to finding a winner is to shop around for components that strike a fair balance between these three things.
If you are in the process of buying parts for a new gaming PC, you may not need to look any farther than the Apevia X-Discovery Black ATX mid-size case to house and hold it all together. The first thing you will notice about this case is that it is quite attractive. As I mentioned, it is a mid-size case. This means that while it is not overly bulky for most dorm rooms or bedrooms, it will also give you enough room to tinker around inside of it during assembly, as well as giving you the space to be able to bundle up your wires and cables, and tuck them away to clean up the interior look of your system. The case itself is painted a sleek, reflective black on the front panels, and matte black on the sides. It is all steel, making it a durable choice if you should have to move it around a bit. The green LED light panels on the sides and front are quite eye-catching, and can really serve to illuminate your office or gaming room. The motherboard mount on the inside is removable, making your assembly process a cinch once you’ve chosen all of your other parts, and are ready to piece it all together.
Unfortunately, there are a couple of downsides to this case. First and foremost, it lacks front-side audio ports for headphones. If you are the type of user that likes to switch between headphones and speakers often, this may be a problem for you. Aside from this, the panels which cover the bays designed for CD and DVD drives are fairly flimsy, so care must be taken not to break them during setup. However, once everything has been assembled and screwed together, the entire rig will be quite sturdy.
