Specifications: The 17.3-inch HP Pavilion DV7-3060US is one of the latest models in HP’s very successful Espresso laptop series. This model comes with a 2.4Ghz AMD Turion processor, a 500GB hard drive and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. The RAM is upgradeable to a maximum of 8GB. The 17.3-inch screen is a LED display that is great for viewing HD videos (it has a 1600 x 900) resolution. Connectivity wise, this model comes with 802.11a/b/g/n wi-fi, a memory card slot, 4 USB ports and more. For audio, this large laptop model comes with Altec Lansing speakers that incorporates the SRS Premium Sound technology and even has a small sub-woofer. This model even comes with a comprehensive remote control that has a wide variety of multimedia controls.

Design: The HP Pavilion DV7-3060US sports a fun and edgy design. While it mostly has a glossy black surface, the monotony is broken by some very interesting circular patterns on the outer casing and next to the track pad. This model measures at 16.2 x 10.9 x 1.37 inches and weighs about 7.69 pounds. Although the glossy surface is a smudge and fingerprint magnet, it is very pleasing to look at. Overall, this laptop sports a very professional and contemporary look.

Features & Performance:The 8-cell battery on the HP Pavilion DV7-3060US can last for up to 4.5 hours on one charge, which is not bad at all for a huge 17.3-inch laptop. As much as it is very well suited for serious work (thanks to its set of powerful specs), this laptop model would also serve as a great entertainment laptop. The great set of speakers, larger HD screen, HDMI port, ATI Radeon HD 4350 graphics card and the remote control makes it a well-rounded entertainment laptop. Currently, the HP Pavilion DV7-3060US retails for just around $783, which is a great price for a full-featured 17.3-inch laptop!
