What is the difference between the following external hard drives?

“Seagate Momentus™ Series External Mobile 2.5″ and a “Seagate Barracuda™ Series External 3.5″. I know the former says it’s mobile and the latter one says isn’t, but is it possible that i can take the latter external hard drive, go over to my friend’s pc and download stuff from his pc into my external hard drive via a USB connection, go back to my pc and download stuff from my external hard drive back to my hard drive on my pc via a USB conection? Can I do that with both types of external hard drives?

The 2.5 is the size of a laptop hard drive, the other the size of a PC hard drive. Either one should work.
